Jamie and Dylan met in typical millennial fashion- online- in the summer of 2016. Jamie's friends created an online profile for her and encouraged her to try some dating apps. Jamie and Dylan matched up and eventually started chatting. They finally agreed it was time to meet up one night in Delaware. At dinner that night, Jamie and Dylan realized they had so much more in common than they ever could have imagined. From spending their summers at the beach in Margate, to frequently traveling to Florida to visit their grandparents, to Dylan going to Canadensis with a lot of Jamie's friends, they didn't have to worry about any awkward silence on the first date. Fast forward to their second date and Jamie remembers sitting at dinner thinking, "I've never smiled so much on any date with anyone in my entire life. My cheeks actually hurt from laughing so much." It was without a doubt one of the most memorable dates she's ever been on...... and the rest is history.

Fast forward a few years later and Dylan was finally ready to pop the big question. After being stuck home in the house for a year due to COVID, Dylan had to come up with a creative way to get Jamie out of the house. He convinced her that he won a special award at work (and she bragged about it to everyone.) They were invited to a private lunch with a local chef. When they pulled up to Ridley Creek State Park, Dylan asked Jamie to get their lunch invitation out of the glove compartment in his car. He told her to open it and she read a note that would then take her on a scavenger hunt throughout the park. Dylan set up a "trip down memory lane" of his favorite photos and memories throughout their 4 years together. The last stop on the scavenger hunt was the spot where Dylan asked Jamie to spend forever with him. It was truly one of the most magical moments in both of their lives. The biggest surprise of all that day was going back to their apartment for "lunch" to celebrate with their families. Unbeknownst to Jamie, Dylan had their clubhouse completely decorated and invited all of their family and closest friends to celebrate. It was this moment that truly SHOCKED Jamie and made the entire day so much more special.
