Question

When is the RSVP Deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 16th, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Question

Are we able to bring children?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception, including babies in arms. We understand this may be difficult for some and are happy to recommend babysitting services in the area.

Question

Is This am Unplugged Ceremony?

Answer

YES. We kindly ask that no photos be taken during the ceremony. Please take the time to be fully present with us, and enjoy this time fully. You are encouraged (please!) to take photos any other time and upload it to our QR code on each table. Any phones out for videos or photos may be subject to the weapon of our choice given to the ushers (we joke)

Question

Do You Have a Registry?

Answer

We do, but we’re doing it little differently. We both love traveling and want to have a honeymoon that gives us a chance to see the world, instead of just physical things. Take a look at our HoneyFund for more details and we will be sure to share photos along the way.

Question

Who is the contact on the wedding day?

Answer

Day of ceremony: Please contact our beautiful matron of honor, Elisabeth, at 740-434-8517 or the lovely Liz at 614-381-0700. Please don’t contact the groom or bride the day of the wedding, Amy other day please do!

Question

What is a handfasting ceremony?

Answer

Hand fasting is an ancient Celtic Ritual that dates back to 7000 BC, in which the hands are tied together to symbolize the bonding of two life’s. This is where the phrase “tying the knot” originates, and a way we both want to honor our roots. The cord was hand-crafted by the bride.

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

We have listed plus ones, however as we have a limited number of seats, so we are unable to host anyone who is not listed as a plus one. Please be sure to share their name with us!

Question

What’s on the Menu?

Answer

Share with us a social hour with charcuterie boards, dip, and snacks, followed by everyone’s favorite - Tacos! Enjoy carnitas, beef, vegetarian, amd chicken along with a queso bar!

Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

Please wear semi-formal and formal wear in your favorite jewel tones. Examples of this are suits, dress pants, blazers, cocktail dresses or jumpsuits. Bring an extra pair of comfy shoes to dance in!

Question

Where should I Park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking at the venue. Handicap parking is also readily available.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be indoors, as will the reception. No need to worry about cold or rain! It’s Ohio, so we never know if it’ll be sunny, rainy, or maybe both in one day.

Question

Is this a traditional wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is a combination of traditional and non-traditional aspects that are special to us. You may see that reflected in our vows, details, and decor. We have kept the traditions that are meaningful to us, as well as included our spiritual practices and beliefs. Your presence brings positive energy into our marriage, and the love and good vibes means the world to us and we are so thankful for you welcoming us into married life.

Question

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

Cherry Valley Hotel, Super 8, the Courtyard by Marriott, and Double Tree by Hilton Hotel are all nearby!

Question

Can I Leave my Car Overnight?

Answer

This is an emphatic no, unfortunately. If you do, the bride and groom, will spend their honeymoon paying very steep towing fee. Please arrange Uber, Lyft, or another ride share so we don’t end up in an awkward situation.

Question

Is This Venue Handicapped Accesible?

Answer

While there are two sets of stairs leading into the downstairs area, there is a sloped ridge that is accessible by wheelchair, along with drop-off abilities. If you have need of any other accommodations, please reach out to the bride and groom directly so we can be sure to facilitate. It is also worth noting the floor is slightly uneven in parts, but our ushers would be happy to assist in any way possible.

Question

Does Your Wedding Have A Theme?

Answer

Dark academia, inspired by some of our favorite works of art, literature, and our shared love of all things spooky and beautiful. Imagine Edgar Allen Poe if he had a bit of therapy along the way.

Question

Will Drinks be Served?

Answer

Please take advantage of our coffee and tea bar throughout the day. In addition, each guest will receive drink tickets to be used after dinner is served, and of course, mead or sparking grape juice to toast! **both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options will also be served.

Question

What is a cat toss?

Answer

A cat toss is a fun and inclusive new way to throw the brides bouquet. Instead of throwing a bouquet for single women only, we will toss a stuffed cat and the winner will receive a special memento, as well as the bride and groom either paying for adoption from our favorite rescue (Colony Cats) or we will donate the money.

Question

What Are Drink Tickets?

Answer

Drink tickets are a fun way for you to get your drinks at the bar! Each person will be given their tickets at dinner and you can redeem them at any time. This way we do not have to have a cash bar, and fun is maximized for the evening!
