On the very first day of my very first big girl job, I nervously sat in my cubicle taking in all the glory of Corporate America. In walked a goofy guy (2 hours late due to a supposed dermatologist appointment) who approached my cube and said very bluntly to the team, “Is this new?”. If you know Davis, you know this is classic Davis. If you know me, you know I was mortified. Davis chose to relate to me by researching the ongoing season of the Bachelorette. Small jokes turned into lengthy conversations, and before I knew it, I found myself awaiting a text from Davis every day. For our first date, Davis drove 20 minutes to pick me up and took me to a restaurant only a quarter of a mile from his house. He was sweet, charming, and allowed me to copy his dinner order. Fast forward a few months, I made it through the first season of college football and we still liked each other. Our relationship was a breath of fresh air for me, something I knew my Mom would be proud of. We belly laugh together, share a love of Side Street Cantina, and binge watch reality TV shows on the weekends. I can’t imagine growing old with anyone else. Cheers to our love!
