Rhossili
The Gower Peninsula has loads of gorgeous beaches for a walk, with Rhossili being a firm favourite. And if the weather’s on our side, the Rhossili Sunflower Fields are definitely worth a visit too.
Mumbles
Head to the Mumbles for a relaxed stroll, a browse through the shops and pubs, and of course a scoop of the famous Joe’s Ice Cream.
Brecon Beacons
If you’re up for a bit of adventure, head to the Brecon Beacons. Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in Wales, is a favourite with both locals and visitors.
St. Fagans National Museum of History
If you fancy a bit of culture and history, St Fagans National Museum is only about a 10-minute drive from Pencoed House Estate.
Castell Coch
Castell Coch (meaning 'Red Castle') is another popular choice, particularly on a rainy day.
Rest Bay
Rest Bay is a popular beach at Porthcawl with miles of fine quality golden sand and some rock pools backed by low cliffs. Head into Porthcawl Harbour to check out Corner Coffee - a regular visit on our trips down to Wales.
Cardiff Bay
Cardiff Bay offers plenty to explore, from the iconic Senedd Cymru (Welsh Parliament) and the striking Wales Millennium Centre to the impressive sea barrage. The area is also home to a wide choice of shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it a great spot to relax as well as sightsee.
