A trip around the sun and the next thing we knew, we had reconnected on the popular dating app, Hinge! Intentions were real this time for both of us. We talked for a few weeks via text and calls, but finally met up for dinner at Ola a Mexican restaurant in Huntington Beach California. Our first date lasted 3 hours. We knew something was different after that first date.
We took a trip to New York to visit his friends Brandon and Meagan and to go ring shopping. On our second night in New York Davie planned a nice dinner and told me to wear a nice dress. I really didn’t think much of it since we sometimes like to dress up and go to nice dinners. I was so excited to be in New York with him. He had a Escalade pick us up I was in awe. Still didn’t have an idea because Davie was so calm and didn’t seem nervous at all. We walked in Palma, the restaurant we were going to and Davie told the host he had a reservation for 2 at 7pm. He walked into the back of the restaurant where he rented out a special room. I walk in and see a table for 2 with candles and flowers all around the room with romantic music playing. I see the photographer and of course sit in the wrong seat(I sat where Davie was supposed to sit). I’m so shocked and start crying. Davie pulls out his notecard with his speech on it. It was so sweet and personal. He then gets down on his knee and asks me to marry him and pulls out the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen in my life and of course I said YES. The restaurant provided us with a 5 course meal and the sweetest most intimate setting. It was the most perfect proposal I could have ever imagined.
