Winter 2014 San Jose: David and Val are two creatives (graphic design and animation) that just happened to connect through a totally unrelated field: experiential marketing! We were on a team for the Nintendo Holiday Experience. The job? surprise and delight; create smiles and memories for others with a little Nintendo magic. If you know Val, you know she is someone who takes charge; her instincts lead the way and she follows them without question. And if you know David, you know his fun-loving spirit and positively electric energy. Val went after that!! After the contract ended, we got together in Walnut Creek on New years Eve Eve. And ever since, we have spent many a New Years together, be it fun personal events or work events as a team. Winter 2024 Cabo San Lucas: New years Eve Eve 10 years later… Live Jazz and love in the air, we had the most delicious sunset dinner. Beneath glittering fireworks, watching the ocean waves, we reminisced on the memories that made us a strong team. A perfect anniversary night already. Of course, David had more surprises waiting for me. A dainty, delightful, sparkling diamond ring. Not just any ring— A Zora’s Sapphire from N64’s The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time!! I felt overjoyed with this perfect nostalgic tribute to the adventures we’ve had for the past decade, and the promise of more to come. Fall 2026 Walnut Creek: Each and every one of you has made us smile and created joyful memories for us in your own unique way! We’re thrilled to thank you all with a celebration of our love which blossomed here in Walnut Creek. Ruth Bancroft Garden's lush blooms and towering succulents will surround our small secluded ceremony. This dreamlike desert oasis is right in the heart of the city; a magical moment in time for those closest to our own hearts. A reception for all will be held at Walnut Creek’s beloved Chicken Pie Shop for a night of dancing, drinks, and comfort food with a twist! And yes — Mario Kart battles are on the menu, too. Whether you’re there to hit the dance floor or cheer on the champions of Rainbow Road, we promise an evening of love, fun, and unforgettable memories.
