Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will take place in Playa del Carmen, Mexico at Grand Velas Riviera Maya Luxury Resort. Our wedding will take place on June 27. Most guests will arrive June 26 and depart June 29, but you’re welcome to extend your stay before or after the wedding. Our group discount is valid as early as June 23 and as late as July 2. Full ceremony and reception details, including venue and timing, will be shared on the Itinerary page.

Can I bring a guest or my children?

Answer

This will be a family friendly wedding and you will find that this resort has MANY accommodations for children and infants. (See Travel page for more info) Please refer to your invitation for specific details, guests listed on the invitation are included.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. A valid passport is required for international travel to Mexico. Please ensure it does not expire within 6 months of travel dates.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Fly into Cancún International Airport (CUN). Grand Velas Riviera Maya is approximately a ~45 minute drive from the airport.

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Answer

Where should I stay?

Answer

We highly recommend staying at our wedding resort to be closest to all events and group activities. Booking details and room blocks are listed on the Travel page. Note: If you will not be staying at the resort with us please let us know as soon as possible in advance as we will need to notify our wedding coordinator to remit payment for off-site guest day pass(es) for the wedding events.

Is this an all-inclusive resort?

Answer

Yes! Food, drinks, personal concierge services, and select activities are included for guests staying at the resort. Additional details can be found under Travel.

What amenities does the resort offer?

Can I extend my stay?

Answer

Absolutely! Guests are welcome to arrive early or stay longer to enjoy the Riviera Maya. Our private booking link provides discounted rates for our wedding guests to arrive as early as Tuesday, June 23 and stay as late as Thursday, July 2. Please see the travel page for more info. Our family plans to arrive a few days early. ;)

What is the dress code?

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Late June in Playa del Carmen is warm and tropical. Expect daytime highs in the mid-80s to low-90s°F, with warm evenings. Short, passing rain showers are possible, but they’re typically brief. We recommend packing: -Lightweight, breathable fabrics -Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen) -Comfortable shoes for outdoor events

Will there be other events or group activities/excursions during the weekend?

Answer

Yes! We’re planning additional (optional) gatherings throughout the weekend. A full schedule will be shared on the Itinerary page. Any items marked as TBD will be updated as we get closer to the wedding date.

What currency should I use/bring?

Answer

The resort operates primarily on USD, and U.S. dollars are widely accepted. Credit cards are also accepted throughout the resort. If you plan to explore off-property, having some Mexican pesos can be helpful but is not required.

Your presence is the greatest gift! We are not registered, but if you wish to contribute to our honeymoon fund, details will be shared on the Registry page.
