Hunter was taking her mom, Kori, out on the town, visiting all of Milwaukee's finest establishments. The last stop on their unofficial bar crawl was Monica's, a basement bar known for their cheap drinks and boardgames. Little did they know, this also happened to be Sam's neighborhood bar, two feet away from his apartment. As the night went on, the board games got boring and Kori noticed a nice young gentleman, Sam, sitting alone at the bar watching the Cubs game. "You should go talk to him!" she prodded Hunter. "Mom, I don't do that kind of thing." Hunter replied. Well, a few minutes later Hunter was standing at the bar next to Sam pretending to need to order a drink. Trying to find the courage to say anything. Sam remembers this as a mop of blonde hair falling over his face, obscuring his view of the game. After the decoy drink was ordered, Hunter finally worked up the courage to say, "Are you watching this game?" They hit it off from there. Hunter teased Sam about the Cub's infamous "bush fence" and how that gives players an unfair advantage. After a while Hunter noticed that Kori's phone had died and she was staring at the walls. "I better get back to my mom," Hunter said regrettably. *Long pause waiting for Sam to ask for her number* "Well, can I get your phone number?" Hunter finally caved in and asked. "How about you give me your number and I'll text you?" Sam replied. And the rest is history! They were inseparable ever since.
