FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what is listed here, please reach out to us.
Question

Is your wedding still going on as planned?

Answer

Our original venue (Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station) cancelled the rest of 2020 weddings unexpectedly. We have found a new venue to host our special day, The Inn at Mount Pleasant. As of right now we are proceeding as planned. If anything does change, we will be sure to reach out to everyone.

Question

If the wedding is still on, what are the guidelines? Such as will we have to wear a mask?

Answer

Masks are optional for our guests. We suggest bringing a pair of masks with you just in case. We plan to have proper sanitation for our guests but please come prepared as things are limited to buying. Staff will be wearing masks and taking the proper guidelines to make sure all of our guests feel safe.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our goal is to have the ceremony outdoors with the beautiful scenic view that they have. Since it is scheduled for beginning of November, weather can be tricky. Please be prepared for it to be cold that day and dress accordingly. If it is raining or weather is too cold, the ceremony will be inside the barn. As for cocktail hour, it will be in the barn and outside (if weather permits). The dinner will be in the tent that we are renting.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is plenty of free parking for our guests in the fields next to the venue.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What is the guest limit? Am I still invited?

Answer

As of right now, we are allowed 150 guests outside, 100 guests indoor starting October 8th. Unfortunately this has put us in such a hard place as we would love everyone to be there. Invites will go out and we ask to please RSVP as soon as you can so we know how to accommodate the list. If a guest RSVP no, we will take a guest/couple on our other list (breaking my heart I am even having to say or do this) and contact them to see if they would like to be part of our day.

Question

Are you doing a hotel block like you did for Riverhouse?

Answer

The new hotel block is at the Marriott in Waterbury. Please look under the "Travel" tab for more information.
