Tons of shopping, restaurants, and fun Austin landmarks
We had our first date here! Great patio with coffee, cocktails, beer, and food trucks.
Insanely good coffee
Our all-time favorite breakfast tacos. Get the migas poblanas! There are locations all around the city, but this is our favorite. It's in a food truck park with an amazing coffee truck, Desnudo (get the miso latte). It's always busy at both so be prepared to hang at a picnic table and wait.
Food truck outside of a coffee shop with the best New York style bagels. Get a breakfast sammie with the green zhug sauce!
Fun patio with great margaritas and delicious queso. Also, you must get the quesadillas!
Get the Suadero Tacos!! Suerte is a restaurant inspired by the people, cooking techniques, and flavors of Mexico. Nationally acclaimed Chef Fermin Nunez and his team pride themselves on the use of local ingredients from our beloved farmers to achieve something delicious and uniquely East Austin.
Easy lil stroll along the river
Rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc
While this view is pretty high up in the sky, don't be intimidated! The overlook of downtown and the 360 Bridge is actually more of a tourist destination than a workout and is a great hot spot for picture-taking and those on an adventurous date. When you reach the top of the 102-stair climb, you can rest at the view deck and pavilion before making your way back down.
The granddaddy of live music venues, the Continental Club has enjoyed a coast-to-coast and worldwide reputation as the premiere club for live music in Austin since 1955.
Our favorite hole-in-the-wall bar with live soul music every night! It's off the beaten path, but worth it in our opinion.
An Austin staple since forever. It's BYOB, too!
Some of our other favorite tacos in the city! Multiple locations around downtown, but the Rainey street location is right around the corner from Hotel Van Zandt
One of our absolute favorite places! Fresh pasta food truck and bar with the cutest patio. The food is unreal and the vibes are immaculate
