We would recommend flying into Denver International Airport.
It is roughly an hour and a half drive from Denver to Winter Park. We recommend you either rent a car or use the Home James Shuttle service.
There is a lodging link under the "Travel & Lodging" section. It will give you a discounted rate towards the listed properties at Winter Park Resort. We recommend you stay on property at Winter Park Resort because there are no Ubers in the area.
You will meet at the bottom of the gondola at Winter Park Resort by 3:45 P.M. It will take you to the top where you will be ushered onto a bus that will drive you to the ceremony and reception location. After the reception, we will all be taking the bus down back to the resort.
Yes! Our wedding will be at 11,200 feet! Staying hydrated in the mountains is very important! Please drink lots of water throughout the weekend to help prevent altitude sickness.
It can get cooler at night in Colorado so we suggest a light jacket or shawl. The welcome party, wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, and the wedding reception will be inside.
If you do not rent a car, the best way to get around town would be the free Winter Park shuttle service-The Lift! It will help you get to and from the Winter Park Resort, Downtown Winter Park, Fraser and Granby. You can find the shuttle schedule online. There are no Ubers in town.
We are very sorry, but we are keeping our special day as an adult-only occasion. We hope you understand and are still able to celebrate with us!
Free parking is available for summer guests in the Village Parking Garage, Vintage Lot, on the side of the road on Winter Park Drive from the entrance off Highway 40 and the Traffic Hut, or in any Resort outlying parking lot. There is no Pay Parking in the summer.
