Yarden and David met at UConn during the spring semester of her sophomore year and his junior year. On the very first day of physics lab, Yarden chose to sit next to David and become his lab partner — a pairing that would unknowingly shape the next decade of their lives. By the end of class, however, there was a twist: the TA discovered David had walked into the wrong lab section. He technically wasn’t even supposed to be there. A few weeks later, they ran into each other again at the iconic Huskies bar, and this time the timing was right. What started as a chance encounter quickly turned into something much more. Over the past ten years, Yarden and David have grown up side by side — through undergraduate and graduate school, long distance between NYC, Austin, back to Connecticut, and every transition in between. Four years ago, they moved in together and began building their home — adding Beau, their beloved dog, who is very much the center of their world. After a decade of building a life filled with love, travel, resilience, and laughter, they are so excited to make their family official.
