A traditional Thai Buddhist wedding consists of two parts, beginning first with the traditional Buddhist/Monk ceremony. Do's: Cover shoulders and upper arms. Wear colorful, dressy attire. Don'ts: It's considered bad luck to wear black. Black shoes and/or a black purse is acceptable.
Dave and Alex have rented traditional Thai wedding ceremony attire for guests to wear, if interested, please contact one of them to make arrangements for pick-up.

According to Thai tradition, the pouring of water is the most important part of the Thai wedding ceremony as it signifies the couple officially becoming husband and wife. Traditionally, this was all that was required to validate the marriage. During the ceremony, Dave and Alex will kneel together, and a holy string is draped from one head to the other, forming a circle and connecting the couple. This symbolizes their spiritual union. They will then place their hands together while sacred water is poured over their hands. Then we eat.
