My sister Brittany has been by my side for 35 years!! She’s my best friend and is one of the first people I turn to for advice although she is my younger sister. I couldn’t imagine this day without her and I’m beyond grateful to have Brittany as my Matron of Honor. We’ve celebrated her wedding, bachelorette, bridal shower and three baby showers together! Now it’s her turn to host all of mine! We always enjoy a good music concert whether it’s Beyonce, Usher or a music festival like Dreamville. Fun fact — we almost got stranded in a remote part of Italy with no cell phone service and no English speakers. She lives in Hampton Roads, VA with her husband and three kids Jayla, Bryson and Bria.

I met Alesia in 2008 during my sophomore year at UNC-Chapel Hill in a weight training class and we’ve been besties ever since. We’ve celebrated birthdays together and family events in Chapel Hill, Columbia, SC, Atlanta and DC. We traveled out of the country together for the first time in college as well as many other fun trips abroad and stateside. She supported me at my med school graduation and I’ve been there by her side at her wedding and first baby shower. Alesia lives in Atlanta with her husband and two kids Addison and Austin.

I met Krystina while at Duke for our dermatology residency in 2019. She has been a true friend and I can easily turn to her for newborn advice, tough derm cases and any one of the million tv shows we both watch. We’ve enjoyed countless dinners, conferences and random house visits. She practices in North Carolina and lives with her daughter Lauren and her husband Justin.

I met Imara during our dermatology residency at Duke in 2019. She is one of the most kindest people I know. We’ve enjoyed many dinners and conferences together as well as each other’s baby showers. She gives great mom advice and knows a lot about college football. You can find us talking about so many random things from an ACC football game to Love Island or Bridgerton. She lives in Tallahassee, FL with her husband and two sons Judah and Preston Jr.

I met Elaine at Duke during dermatology residency in 2020. We both love Beyonce, traveling around the world and how to get the most out of our credit card points. Dave and Elaine have a Michigan vs Ohio State rivalry they make it known during each football and basketball season. Elaine is the go-to person for traveling advice and has been to practically every country and is dedicated to running each day. She now lives in Austin, TX.

I met Rida during medical school at Howard in DC in 2013. We had a lot of fun and crazy times in medical school including Broccoli city festival, homecoming and soooo many brunches. We’ve kept up with each other at graduations, homecomings and baby showers. We always trade patient advice and also laughs when I go to New York. She has been someone that I can count on if I need help with anything. She is living her best life in New York.

I met Beks in med school at Howard in 2013 in DC. We are both VA natives and became close during our third year while on the same clinical rotation block. We had so many laughs and cries while on our general surgery and OB. We also had a lot fun outside school at homecomings, graduation parties, weddings and brunch too. We’ve always made sure to visit each other after graduation whether it was in New York, Pittsburgh, Virginia or Atlanta. She is now living her best life in New York.

Dionna is Dave’s twin sister! We were able to really get to know each other during a family Christmas trip in Pigeon Forge, TN as well as my baby shower. She has been extremely supportive of our journey and has given great advice regarding raising kids. She tells the funniest stories about Dave and their childhood. I know I can count on her if I need her for anything and I’m looking forward to spending more time together. Dionna lives in Dayton, OH with husband Devon, three kids Alexis, London and Carter, and granddaughter Marleigh. She is a graduate of Brown Mackie College in Cincinnati, OH and has a career in occupational therapy.

I met Dustin and his wife Andrea at an Ohio State University alumni bar back in the Fall of 2013 and we’ve been great friends ever since! We’ve celebrated many holidays and vacations as a group and watch most OSU football games together throughout the season. Dustin is originally from Lancaster OH and currently lives in the Midtown area of Atlanta GA with his wife Andrea and their two dogs Oxley and Lincoln. He is a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University where he was also a member of the marching band TBDBITL and has a career in sales.

I met Yussef and his wife Sion during his inaugural season as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Dunwoody High School back in the Summer of 2023 and we have become very close in that short time! We’ve spent countless hours together for basketball practices, games, program events, and holidays and he is now considered family. Yussef is originally from New Orleans LA and currently resides in Brookhaven GA with his wife Sion. He is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans where he was a stand-out NAIA basketball player and remains one of the all-time leaders in scoring, rebounding, steals, and was named to their Athletic Hall of Fame and has since had a career in education and coaching.

I can still remember when Donn was born in Atlanta GA back in the Spring of 2000 and is my oldest younger brother! We’ve celebrated many family events, holidays, and vacations together over the years and were able to spend more time together after I relocated to Georgia from Ohio back in 2010. Donn currently resides in the Manhattan burrough of New York City by way of Los Angeles CA and enjoys traveling the world while working in Times Square. He is an Ivy League graduate of The University of Pennsylvania in The Wharton School of Business with a degree and career in finance.

I can still remember when Daniel was born in Atlanta GA back in the Fall of 2003 and is my youngest brother! We’ve celebrated many family holidays, events, and trips together over the years and were able to spend more time together after I relocated to Georgia from Ohio back in 2010. Daniel currently lives in Griffin GA with my father [David Boddie, Sr.] and stepmother [Charmaine Boddie] and enjoys video games and soccer. He briefly attended Berea College in Kentucky after high school and has plans to obtain an undergraduate degree in the future.

I met Demetric here in Atlanta GA back in 2022 when we were neighbors in the same apartment complex building for many years! His outgoing personality and charismatic energy was the start of our friendship and I’ve considered him a brother ever since. Demetric currently resides in Sandy Springs GA with his wife Kina, son Triston, dog Billie and enjoys traveling, sports, and restoring classic vehicles. He was born and raised in Marion KY where he also attended school and now works in the security resources industry.

We’ve played many pickup and intramural basketball games and had some very memorable trips. Huck is originally from Athens OH and enjoys music, basketball, and traveling. He currently lives in Columbus OH with his wife Michelle, and has a son named Charlie. He is an alumnus of Ohio University with a degree in sports management.

We’ve celebrated many holidays and vacations as a group and watch most OSU football games together throughout the season. Zac is also from Lancaster OH originally and went to high school with Dustin Johnson. He enjoys music, video games, golf, and currently resides in Woodstock GA with his wife Jamie, their daughter Cora, and their dog Penelope. Zac is also a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University where he was a cheerleader, now owns a leather business, and has a career in marketing.

Trent and I grew up together back in Dayton OH and spent countless weekends playing video games, working together, hanging out together at family functions and events, and experiencing the college nightlife scene. Our mothers are sisters, he is one of my closest first-cousins, and he has always felt like a brother to me. Trent still currently lives in our hometown of Dayton OH with his girlfriend Jenna and enjoys music, sports, video games, drawing, and physical fitness in his spare time. He attended the College of Charleston prior to Sinclair Community College and works in healthcare.
