In the year 2016, Taryn was a sophomore in college and David was working at Crosswater Yacht Club on Lake Travis. Taryn was invited on a houseboat by her best friend Rachel, where David and some of his co-workers were going to be. A great time was had, so they went out on the boat again, and again. Though there were whispers of David’s interest in Taryn, he never tried to get to know her. When the summer came to an end, Taryn returned to college and David moved to Wisconsin (to hopefully grow some hair on his chest/face). Fast forward to 2021, David made his way back to Austin while Taryn was working a new job in San Antonio. Members of the old 2016 boat crew were up to their usual shenanigans and decided to celebrate Rachel’s birthday in San Marcos. They ended up at The Vault, where David decided to awkwardly dance his way up to Taryn and offer her a drink. They FINALLY talked and despite David’s attempt at dancing his way into her heart, the night ended with no phone number or plans for the future. With the power of the chest hair he grew in Wisconsin, David reached out on social media and asked Taryn out on a date. After the first date went well, a second and then a third followed. Although David decided they should jump out of a plane on this infamous third date; the rest was history! From that day on, David and Taryn have been inseparable. After all, some people just need some time to grow and maybe even be pushed out of a plane to finally find the love of their life❤️
