Valentine’s Day, 2020 – Taina, David, and their friend Jessica went to see the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Little did anyone know that David was into Taina, as he thought she was wonderful to talk to, and extremely pretty. June 2020 – Taina, David, and friends Jessica and Andrew went to Cocoa Beach to celebrate Taina’s birthday. The four friends arrived at the beach early in the morning and watched the gorgeous sunrise. After a fun time of frisbee, relaxing in the water, avoiding killer fish, enjoying food and games, Taina and David exchanged numbers. August 18th, 2020 – Taina and David went on their first date after spending time together. That night, they confessed their feelings for each other at what later became known as the “Frog Bridge.” October 18th, 2020 – While both Taina and David agreed to take things slow, it was apparent that both wanted to begin the relationship. That night, David asked to make the relationship official and Taina said yes. October 18th, 2022 – After two fun and fulfilling years of being girlfriend and boyfriend, Taina and David planned a full day to celebrate. They swam and hiked in Wekiva Springs, outdoors activities they both loved. When it was time to get cleaned up for dinner, they were looking nice. David suggested going to the Frog Bridge to reminisce before going to the restaurant. With a ring in his sportscoat pocket, and a grand scheme, it was time to ask the important question. Taina’s sister Elonie was in on the plan. In an elaborate disguise and phone in hand, she posted in her hiding spot just in time as the couple arrived to the bridge. They talked, but Taina’s Spidey Sense alerted her to a “creeper” in the bushes. David got down on his knee and proposed. There was some shifting as the “creeper” emerged to take video of the special moment. Lo and behold, it was Elonie the whole time! Everyone had a laugh and photos were taken. The best part of that day, Taina said yes! October 18th, 2023 – The story begins. And you are invited to celebrate with us!
