Shauntora's older brother is Bashir. He is without a doubt the greatest impact she has ever had. Considering that he helped babysit Shauntora, supported her extracurricular activities, walked her to school, combed her hair, helped her with homework, and even took her on a few dates, it's safe to conclude that she was his first child. He exposed her to parties, sports, dancing, music, movies, and Nike. Despite Bashir being ten years Shauntora’s senior, Shauntora has always felt in charge. The two are still quite close. For the first eighteen years of her existence, Shauntora did refer to him as "Brother." In addition, Bashir feels relieved that he can now move on from Shauntora and hand her to David.
Matron of Honor
Shauntora was first introduced to Latecia in high school by the father of Latecia's daughter. For Shauntora, he was like an elder brother. After a brief period of time apart, the two reconnected at Day Spa Career College, where they were both studying cosmology. Latecia has since evolved into Shauntora's memory, traveling companion, and right hand. In her capacity as Aunt to all of Shauntora's children, Latecia is very important. When DyKeya was a newborn, Shauntora took her home from the hospital and quickly took her back, calling nurses and physicians names because of her medical knowledge from the "E.R. TV Series." Despite this, DyKeya does not want to share her tete's meals or have anyone refer to Shauntora as "auntie" ever again.
