We’re getting married!

We met through mutual friends at a house party in 2014. (Thanks Nick!)

Our first (official) date was on June 29, 2017. We went to Wings Over Kaufman where we spent a few hours talking and didn't want the night to end, so we drove to a drive in movie theater and saw Wonder Woman.

Fast forward to February 13, 2019, David was about to discover his first duty location out of tech school through a "drop night" ceremony. Our friend Johnathan Ready was presiding over the assignment process, and at the end of the ceremony he handed the microphone to David to give a parting speech. After David made congratulatory remarks, he said that he needed help with the next part of his speech and called Ryleigh up to the stage. As Ryleigh trepidatiously made her way towards the front of the room, what was actually happening clicked in her mind and she instantly began crying. Above the roar generated by a roomful of excited friends, David dropped to one knee and said "Ryleigh, I love you so so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" For some reason, she acquiesced. Ryleigh would soon learn that David didn't even know he was going to propose until about lunch time that day, 4 hours before the ceremony took place in San Angelo. He had been searching for the perfect opportunity for months, and finally realized that today was the day.

We are so excited to celebrate our love and to spend our special day with you!!!
