Our Meeting

Mabinogi

Rebecca and I, both being gamers, actually met playing a computer game. And me being a dungeon dweller on the game, tended to never be where other players were. Well one day, I was making a routine "repair run" and happened across a couple players fishing off of a bridge in Tir. Stopping casually for a sec, I picked up some of the stuff they had dropped, said "oooohh freebees" and proceeded into town to get my stuff fixed.... Two hours later, on another repair run... they were still there.. fishing.... I mean like people do in real life..... boring sitting there for hours.... fishing... Like I was one to talk.. if I pulled my head outa the mines enough to do other things at the time... Anyways.. I made the comment that they were still there, and we got to chat a bit.. and that is the simple story of how we met... well first met.... Rebecca loved to go rafting in the game, even though my T'UNDA'!!!!! skills kinda lagged her out of the game at times... We spent hours and hours just chatting.. happy to have someone to simply talk to... She helped me through many dark moods... We did many dungeons.... many quests... shadow missions that I never really ran before... Trade runs.. hunted bandits... found random places to just sit and enjoy... ( I may have gotten her lost in the Ant Hill...((a hidden underground dungeon she hadn't been into before))) We had many meaningful memories playing together...

The SMOKIES

Being together

The first time I met Rebecca, was after a few days of putzing.. as I drove out to their place, and after having talked to her quite a few times on the drive over... I knew she was excited and yet terrified at the same time... It was actually happening, I was actually going to be there... We were no longer going to be just friends from a game who had high hopes for a relationship with the other, but that we were going to meet... So that first time I pulled in front of their house.... and she came out.. she had a GORGEOUS smile on her face.. and after months of wishing for it; I got to have a wonderful hug from her... We did a few things while I was out there, we went to the ARK in Kentucky.... I spent most the time walking around it staring at the beautiful lovely that was holding my hand; glimpsing things here an there and trying to recall all that I knew about them. We went hiking around buzzards roost, with her dad and brother. Walked around a couple parks.. played some games together... watched some movies.. just had a great time being together... AANNNDD the 2nd time I visited... We went down into the Smokie Mountains, and we spent a full day walking through part of Cheyanne... We hiked a day.. and venge watched most of the Harry Potter movies, because she is rather the fan... And we went down to Bryson City and rode a steam train around Nanatella Lake. It was a cloudy day, and it drizzled a bit... poured some; it was the first warm rain I have ever been in. Well on the way back to Bryson, I pulled a ring out of my pocket, fumbled it on her finger; and said "I know you have said as much, but will you marry me." That sweet soft tender smile of hers .... you can only imagine... after that we got to sing to a fiddle playing "I'll Fly Away"- southern style.. after the ride.. with the down pour we decided to go for another hike... in the soaking rain and by the time we got back to our cabin, we were fairly soaked.
