Once upon a frigid night in January 2014, Rachel was with a group of friends en route to a party in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rachel, being notorious for her sense of direction, found herself lost. A group of guys were nearby and Rachel’s friend asked them for directions. Among this group of guys was David. Now, David wasn't supposed to be out that night since he was busy in the thick of MCAT prep. Luckily, thanks to some timely peer pressure, he decided to join the festivities at the eleventh hour. He started talking to a tall girl in snow boots and a poofy hat. As fate would have it, these two strangers who just happened to be on the same street at the same time quickly grew from acquaintances to friends. Rachel and David bonded over music and enjoying life at U of M for the next year. In Spring 2015, they took the leap and made things official. Since then, they have built a beautiful life together in Brooklyn, filled with laughter and full hearts. After 8+ years of loving each other, they’re finally ready to get married.
