A Sangeet is an Indian celebration the day prior to the wedding ceremony to celebrate the upcoming union and joining of two families. It involves music, dancing and singing and we encourage everyone to join in on the fun! Indian attire is not necessary, any clothing that is colorful is appropriate and highly encouraged!
A Baraat is the groom's wedding procession filled with music provided by a drum (dhol) and dancing. Traditionally, the groom is accompanied by his family on his way to meet the bride's family. We are opening up the Baraat to all parties to enjoy in this experience as David celebrates his wedding day! The Baraat is followed by a Milnee where the two families meet and celebrate the upcoming union. Location: The Baraat will be on memorial drive by the back entrance of the Royal Sonesta, please arrive on time as it will start at 12PM (Noon) sharp After the Milnee you can head towards the grand ballroom for the wedding ceremony
