How We Met

Dear God, whom would you have me walk with?

We both sought GOD to show us a special someone with whom we could share our LIVES, our FAMILIES, and our LOVE with. We were certain and full of HOPE that there was someone specific for us out there because we both had HEARTS full of LOVE to share. "We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19 WE put down some ideas of whom this person might be, and sincerely asked HIM to GUIDE us. Our God is a good God!!! He showed us the way to each other through technology! Yes, a social App! Our profiles were a 99% match! Our love is a 100% match! God's BLESSINGS are INFINITE! We praise HIM! "I have found the one whom my soul loves." Song of Solomon 3:4 Words of Wisdom from a very Wise Man: “We’re all a little weird, and life’s a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”- Dr. Seuss

Stronger Together

Matthew 6:33 "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

“Seek First the Kingdom” If our mission from Christ is to “seek first the kingdom of God,” how can a successful, God-honoring marriage not be marked by mission? We’re not told to seek first an intimate marriage, a happy life, obedient children, or anything else. Jesus tells us to seek first one thing, and one thing only: His kingdom and His righteousness (the two words define and build on each other, creating one common pursuit). A successful marriage is not only supported by a kingdom pursuit, but in many ways the pursuit is a prerequisite for post-infatuation intimacy. Life without this aim, and marriage without this purpose, is going to lose a lot of its luster. “We hunger for this today: cooperating together, meshing, working like a mountain climbing team, ascending the peak of our dream, and then holding each other at the end of the day. God has planted this hunger deep within every married couple. It’s more than a hunger for companionship. It’s more than a hunger to create new life. It’s a third hunger, a hunger to do something significant together. According to God’s Word, we were joined to make a difference. We were married for a mission.”
