Every love story has its own timing, and ours is a true testament to faith, patience, and second chances. We first met by chance at a Publix in Atlanta. It was one of those unexpected moments where two people cross paths without knowing what God has planned ahead. We exchanged numbers, but because David lived out of town and was only visiting, I didn’t pursue it any further. At the time, long-distance wasn’t something I was open to. But fate — and faith — had other plans. In February 2022, David came across my profile on a dating site, and we reconnected. Even then, I was still hesitant and a bit stubborn about the distance. But David remained consistent, patient, and intentional. After months of his persistence, I finally gave in and I’m so grateful I did. We began dating, and although we shared something special, we faced challenges with communication that led us to go our separate ways after about five months. Still, what we had never truly faded. In January 2023, we found our way back to each other. By February, we had decided to start again, with more understanding, stronger communication, and a deeper appreciation for what we shared. Since then, our relationship has grown stronger every day. What makes our love so meaningful is not just how we came together, but how we chose each other again. David is everything I prayed for and more. He is attentive, always anticipate what's needed without me having to say a word. He listens with intention, loves with consistency, and shows thoughtfulness in the smallest details. He makes me laugh, has the most beautiful (handsome) smile, and carries himself as a true man whose loves a woman. But above all, what means the most to me is that we share the same faith. He loves the Lord, and together we are building a relationship centered in God. One of the most unforgettable moments of our journey was in Las Vegas. During a breathtaking helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, we landed for a picnic surrounded by one of God’s most beautiful creations. In that quiet, intimate moment, David asked me to spend forever with him and of course, I said YES. Our story is one of divine timing, growth, and unwavering love.
