FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony and lunch on Saturday, May 17th, we suggest semi-formal dress code but wear whatever you are comfortable in :) !! Remember layers for possible wind. Ideas: Women: short or 3/4 or full length dresses, wedge or flat shoes, possible sweaters. Men: suits and ties or slacks and sport coat or khakis and button-down For the no-host event on Saturday night, please feel free to wear what you wore to the ceremony if it is more convenient for you, or you can change into more comfortable casual clothes! For the breakfast picnic in the park on Sunday 5/18/2025, feel free to dress casually :)

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Of course! The more the merrier :) We think we have included on the invitations all the kids who may come. If your RSVP does not include a child, please reach out to us so that we can add your child to the list. Kids are welcome at each event during the weekend, from the wedding, lunch, semi-host night event, and picnic in the park on Sunday. Look forward to seeing everyone!

Question

Where should we stay in the city?

Answer

On the Sunday of our wedding weekend, San Francisco is hosting the Bay to Breakers race, so certain streets around Golden Gate Park will be closed. Since our ceremony will occur in the presidio and the Sunday Breakfast and Games event will occur in Pacific Heights, staying somewhere North of Golden Gate Park (e.g. Presidio, Pacific Heights, Fisherman's Wharf) might make getting to the wedding slightly more convenient. If you have specific questions about where you should stay, please feel free to contact us for more guidance!

Question

What is the parking situation for the wedding weekend?

Answer

Wedding ceremony and lunch (Saturday May 17th 12 noon - 4 pm): The most convenient option for guests may be taking a ride-share directly to the venue at the Western Lawn at the Presidio Visitor Center, or taking public transportation as there is a bus stop only a 3-minute walk from the venue. For those with cars, there is a parking lot near the Presidio visitor center that accepts Pay by Phone or Payment at a parking station. As the wedding will take place on a Saturday in May, we anticipate that parking may be limited as the Presidio Park is open to all of San Francisco on a first-come, first-serve basis Golden Gate Tap Room (Saturday May 17th, 7 - 10 pm): Street parking could be sparse, but there are paid parking garages nearby including the 520 Mason St., 750 Bush St. and 665 Sutter street garages. Again ride-share and public transportation may be good options to avoid parking hassles! Alta Plaza Park (Sunday May 18th 10 am to noon): There is no parking lot within the park; however, there is street parking nearby or a paid parking garage (CPMC Pacific Campus Medical Center Garage) that is a 5 minute walk to Alta Plaza Park
