It’s a Thing!

It all started with me losing something at work. Just by chance I decided to go into the shop at AAA on my day off . I walked into my supervisor’s office and there sitting amongst a couple of guys was David. I spoke with my supervisor and he helped me correct the problem. I started to walk into the bay area and David followed after me. He was just about to start his shift when he introduced himself to me and asked if I had run into any issues on the road. Being a little nervous I started rambling about using a 4x4 to get tires off of cars. Thats when he mentioned I should get a mallet. He explained how to use it to get a tire off. I thanked him for his advice and said maybe next time I get paid I’ll get one. A week and a half goes by and I was walking into the shop to punch out of work. I noticed something sticking out of my mailbox. It was a big rubber mallet with a note that said “this should work better than a 4x4.” It put a huge smile on my face, and I thanked him on facebook. That was when we started talking. I noticed David showing up more frequently in the shop at the end of my shift, but I didn’t really think much of it. A few months later he admitted to me that it was intentional. There were times when we talked for hours, and then this turned into us hanging out. Everyone around me thought we were dating but at the time I wasn’t interested in a relationship and I just wanted to do me. Little did I know what the future had in store for me. After about 6 months of us spending hours at work on the phone and many days off together. There was a day when we were together and I felt an overwhelming feeling of “this is the man I want to spend my life with,” so I just hugged him and told him to ask me the question. His face lit up as he said “Micaela Grace Martinez will you be my girlfriend?” I giggled with a huge smile on my face as i said “Yes!” And the rest is history.
