David and I have known each other our entire lives. Born just a day apart, we grew up together in the church. Our friendship truly blossomed when we were in the same First Communion class. Fast forward to when we were 17 years old. I moved to Minnesota, and we were thousands of miles apart. It was during this time that we began to realize our feelings for each other went beyond friendship. We admitted to one another that we had fallen in love. I often say that David is my first and now my last love, and I truly believe that. Soon after we had confessed our feelings, God's plan took David on a journey of his own-he went to seminary in Romania. I was heartbroken, but I now understand that God needed us to be apart for a while, so we could grow into the people we were meant to be. After David spent five years in the seminary, and I spent three years in Turks and Caicos, God brought us back to each other. I still can't believe how beautiful God's plan has been for us thus far. I can truly say I am getting married to my best friend!
