Shuttle

Once guests RSVP we will be coordinating a group shuttle to the castle. There will be two shuttles that will be transporting people to and from the Florence Airport. This is the easiest pick up and drop off spot near Florence as transportation to get to the airport from the area is fairly inexpensive and to get shuttle buses into central Florence has a hefty fee and difficult for the buses to navigate through traffic delays.
Rental Car
Car Rental Florence - Airport - Peretola
Castello di Ristonchi is 35Km from Florence center. (Around a 45 minute drive). A rental car is the easiest and cheapest way to get around Tuscany. There is free onsite parking for all guests. Please be aware of ZTL zones, these are off limits to non-locals and you will get hit with a heavy fine!! Train
Closest Train Station: Pontassieve
The closest train station to the Castello is Pontassieve, which can be reached from any major city in Italy. You can take the train to Pontessieve (30 mins from Florence/2 hours from Pisa/1 hours from Bologna/2.5 hours from Milan/Rome/Venice). Once you're at Pontassieve train station, you can also take the Bus 343 A Saltino Centro up the mountain and get off at stop ‘Paterno_V’ in Pelago (15 mins) and coordinate pick up from there or if you have a lot of gumption and not a lot of luggage you can take a beautiful forest walk to the castle (30 mins walk from bus stop).
