David and I met working -- he as a fireman and I as a paramedic. We ran calls together often. I knew him as "Swindler", and as far as I knew, he did not know I existed. We were very casual friends for a few years. Then we became friends that chatted every day. Then he was no longer "Swindler", he was "David". And everyone started asking "Who is this 'David' person?" We spent the spring and summer of 2024 together. We realized we really enjoyed each other's company. He helped me and encouraged me through nursing school applications. He traveled to Charlotte with me to find a place to live. He showed me what it meant to be taken care of, and feel loved without ever doubting or questioning a thing. David became my best friend, and before I knew it, we were planning our lives with each other.

(If you know me, GIRRRRL. I love KK) 3. He changed my tire in the sweltering heat. It was never a question even though we were out of town and had plans. He just...did it. 4. Peter adores him. Dog's approval means the most. 5. Before we were dating, he showed up at my apartment one day with a box of Cheez-Its. Just because he knew I loved them.

I knew she was the one when I showed her my Power Rangers collection and she didn't immediately leave.
