If we could describe our first meeting in two words, it would be "perfect timing". We went to the same middle school, high school, and university and never met. And in what seemed to be the universe's last opportunity to get us together, we crossed paths. We met through mutual friends, at a country line-dancing bar, right before our lives were about to take us in completely different directions. David was about to leave the state to pursue a job opportunity and Lyanne was about to finish college and was planning her next big move. That fateful night at the country bar David made the first move and asked Lyanne to dance. She agreed (because she was born to be on the dance floor) and they two-stepped the entire night away. After a long night of laughing and showing each-other their best dance moves, they realized they were both coincidently wearing pink shirts. That's when they knew this could really be something. ♡ Si pudiéramos describir nuestro primer encuentro en tres palabras, sería " el momento perfecto". Fuimos a la misma escuela secundaria, preparatoria y universidad y nunca nos conocimos! Y en lo que parecía ser la última oportunidad del universo para unirnos, nuestros caminos se cruzaron. Nos conocimos a través de amigos en común (en un bar de baile de musica country) justo antes de que nuestras vidas nos en direcciones completamente diferentes. David estaba a punto de dejar el estado para seguir una oportunidad de trabajo y Lyanne estaba a punto de terminar la universidad y estaba planeando su próximo gran paso. Esa fatídica noche en el bar, David dio el primer paso e invitó a Lyanne a bailar. Ella estuvo de acuerdo (porque nació para estar en la pista de baile) y bailaron a dos pasos toda la noche. Después de una larga noche de risas y mostrarse sus mejores pasos de baile, se dieron cuenta de que ambos vestían camisas rosas! Fue entonces cuando supieron que esto realmente podría ser algo!

For our first date, we went to a University of Arizona baseball game. It was a warm and sunny day in late April. As soon as we got to the baseball field we took our seats to watch the game and started to talk. The conversation started flowing immediately. It was like we were somewhere else, in our own little bubble. We were so focused on our conversation that we didn't pay any attention to the baseball game. (David is a huge sports fan so this really says a lot!). Our conversation was so good, that when the game ended, neither of us knew the score. The second date was a given. ♡ Para nuestra primera cita, fuimos a un partido de béisbol de la Universidad de Arizona. Era un día cálido y soleado a finales de abril. Tan pronto como llegamos al campo de béisbol, tomamos asiento para ver el juego y comenzamos a platicar. La conversación comenzó a fluir de inmediato! Era como si estuviéramos en otro lugar, en nuestra pequeña burbuja. Estábamos tan concentrados en nuestra conversación que no prestamos nada de atención al partido de béisbol. (David es un gran fan de los deportes, ¡así que esto realmente dice mucho!). Nuestra conversación fue tan buena que cuando terminó el juego, ninguno de nosotros sabía cual equipo gano. La segunda cita fue un hecho.
