How We Met

1998

David and Tasha met in the summer of 1998. David moved from Oakland and into the apartments called Discovery Commons. Although David and his family stayed there, Tasha did not. You would never know because she would always be there visiting her cousins. They played outside every single day together and almost immediately after hanging out David and Tasha had an instant connection at the tender age of 12. They spent almost everyday together amongst friends. They went to the library, Jaspers, and loved playing on the field in the center of the apartments. When school started they decided to go separate ways and continued being friends. They went to middle together, then highschool and continued to stay connected throughout the years. After taking completely different paths in life David decided to reach out again and Tasha was elated. They begin dating, now as adults and fell in love all over again like they did when they were kids.

The Proposal Story

April 30th 2021

One morning David woke up from a good slumber, he was very excited about the week to come because he had just purchased an engagement ring to ask LaTasha to be his wife. He wanted to ask her in a special way and the ring was burning a hole in his pocket, being anxious he changed the plans and wanted to ask her for her hand sooner than later. so, he called his mother(Jewel) and asked her what she thought about his idea she was 100% in full support of his idea. The next phone call he made was to the best man his best friend DeAngelo. He told "D" his plan and how he wanted it to be carried out. With full support "D" helped him arrange the event, "it's going to be a game night" David told D and he wanted to do this at D house. so they called all the friends to come over and hang out and as they we're starting to play "at the family reunion" the game from wild'n Out suggested by another groomsmen(C.T), David Got down on one knee and began to tell LaTasha how important she is to him and how much he loves her and then asked her to spend an eternity together by being his wife.
