It was customary for us to take an evening walk in Saratoga after we had both wrapped up our work day. But unbeknownst to Kristin, this walk would be much different than the rest. David had asked and received permission from Big Jim and had been hiding the ring for about 2 weeks. We headed down to Broadway and David led us into Congress Park. Kristin having no idea that David was searching for the perfect spot to bend the knee. We made our way behind the Canfield Casino, where there is a water fountain and David slyly asked Kristin to check if there were fish in the water. Kristin quickly responded "There's no fish, it's too cold!" but David persisted. Kristin jumped at the opportunity to prove David wrong and walked over to the fountain to find no fish. She, of course, was right, but David had the upper hand. When she turned to face him and boast that she was right (again), David was down on one knee. Squeals and "Oh My Gosh", "Really?" were on repeat until Kristin finally said yes.
