Airport Options

The closest airport is Hilton Head Island, SC (HHH), which is a short 10-minute drive from the wedding location. HHH is a small airport, but if you're coming from the DC area or one of eight other locations, there are direct flights available. The next closest and larger airport is Savannah, GA (SAV), which is an easy 45-minute drive.

Rental Car

Getting To, From, and Around Hilton Head

If you're flying to the wedding, we highly recommend that you consider renting a car. Ubers/Lyfts are scarce and therefore can be difficult to reserve in Hilton Head. If you're flying in/out of the Hilton Head Island airport and do NOT plan to rent a car, you should call one of these cab services prior to your arrival to arrange transportation from the airport. These companies are also available for travel around the island with advanced notice. Ferguson Transportation (843) 842-8088 Apple Transportation (843) 715-3504 S & J Expressway (843) 686-3333 Native Islander’s Transportation LLC (843) 384-1403 If you're flying in/out of the Savannah airport and do NOT plan to rent a car, it's easy to get an Uber/Lyft from the Savannah airport to Hilton Head Island and then reserve one of the above cab companies to return to Savannah. We do not recommend trying to rely on Uber/Lyft to get back to Savannah. Keep in mind, again, that you'll likely need to use cabs to get around the island while visiting or plan to be (very) patient when requesting an Uber/Lyft.

Where to Stay in Hilton Head

Hilton Head Island has many wonderful places to stay. We have reserved a room block at the closest hotel to the wedding venue (details below). There are also many other rental options on AirBnB or VRBO, for example, that you may want to consider. We recommend that you book early, and if you have questions about a location you are considering, please feel free to ask us!

The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

We have reserved a room block at the Westin, which is only a few minutes drive away from the wedding venue and located right on the beach. If you choose to stay here, please make sure you book through the below link to receive the room block rates! The last day to book rooms in the block is April 18, 2024 and reservations can be cancelled, without penalty, up to five days prior to your arrival date.
