The ceremony will take place inside the planetarium at Talcott Mountain Science Center and Academy.

As you all know, we are not your traditional, run of the mill, kind of Bride and Groom. We wanted this day to be one of a kind, fun, and reflect on our special interests. This day truly represents David and Karie's separate interests, blended together, to form one strong union.
We were unable to find a hotel close enough to our ceremony and reception venues. We needed to make sure that our family members and bridal party had enough time to take photos after the ceremony, and travel to the hotel to check in before boarding the shuttle bus with the rest of the guests. Please check the Things To Do page if you want to fill in the time between the ceremony and the reception.
The main buffet will have selections that are vegetarian and gluten free. Please check off "Vegan" meal if you require a meal that follows a vegan diet.
The Hinterland is a newly renovated, Woman-owned event venue located on five acres of farm land in Avon, CT. They specialize in smaller more intimate weddings and events. We immediately fell in love with the intimate charm that The Hinterland offers. The inside of the barn is 2100 square feet with a maximum capacity of 80 guests. While there are so many people that we would love to have been able to invite, our guestlist is primarily taken up by very close family and the wedding party. We had to make some difficult decisions, but our guestlist is limited only to those specifically named on the invitation. We hope that you understand.
