Many love stories these days start in a bar, and so did ours. Rather than meeting over drinks, we met serving at our church when it was located in a popular NYC bar/concert venue. Months went by and Kara became interested in David, and ended up telling our mutual friend Jill about her interest. Jill connected us, setting us up and completely supporting the new romance. After a few dates sitting next to each other in the church "pews" on Sundays and during the week, we started seeing each other outside of church. On April 5th, David asked Kara to be his girlfriend on the top of One World Trade Center. At the time, the current slogan for One World Trade Center was "See Forever." Looking out over the Manhattan Skyline, David took the slogan to heart and asked Kara if she would like to begin their forever together. A year and a half later, David asked Kara to marry him at the South Street Seaport in NYC. Completely surprised and ecstatic, she said yes! We are so excited to start the next part of our forever this July.
