We were looking for a special place that is secluded but also convenient for Julie’s grandmother-- she took care of both of us when we first met in kindergarten so it was important to us that she attend the wedding! We were visiting Portland for her birthday when we stopped by Mt Hood Organic Farms. We felt an instant connection with the place and the owners Brady and John. They are Bay Area transplants who started the farm from scratch in the 80s to become the first certified organic orchard in Oregon—we were inspired by how much love and hard work they poured into the place! The orchard also comes with a female power trio of Brady (the owner), Ginger (the chef who crafts seasonal farm-to-table dinners) and Cassandra (the experienced wedding coordinator) so it was a perfect fit. It was the first venue we visited and we loved it so much, we booked it the next day!
