How We Met

10/17/2013

It all started in a dimly lit dive bar called The Crowd Around Me. Dave noticed me out of the corner of his eye shooting a game of pool. Little did he know, I noticed him too and told my friend Alex that he was cute. After some time passed and a few drinks later, an intoxicated couple took over the pool table. Dave found it amusing and used it to strike up a conversation. We played a game of pool (Jordan won) so Dave splurged and bought a round of $1 bud lights and the rest is history!

The Proposal

12/29/2019

Rewind to 2 weeks prior... Christmas presents started to pile under the Christmas tree and the anticipation was building. Knowing they were going to travel to Chicago for the holidays, Jordan wanted to open the presents before they left. There was a big box under the tree that had her name on it and she KNEW it was a roomba vaccum. After much negotiation, an agreement was made to open all the smaller gifts and stockings before the trip and leave the big ones until after. Fast forward to the 29th, waking up on their "Christmas morning" they made their traditional breakfast of cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa with Bailey's. After breakfast, the moment had finally arrived to open the BIG ONES. Thinking she outdid him this year, Jordan was very excited for Dave to open his as it was a brand new lap top for his new career. Jordan was underwhelmed with Dave's lack of excitement upon opening his gift but because she didn't realize what was coming. As Jordan started to rip the wrapping paper off the box, questions started to arise. She opened up the box to a massive amount of bubblewrap. She looked up at Dave and said "What is this?" He did not reply. As she started to dive into the bubblewrap she pulled out the letter "A". Even more confused she asked again "What is this?' Dave replied "it's wall art". After unwrapping numerous letters , she then went on a tangent of thinking it was another dog (and that it was in the spare bedroom) or that they had won the lottery. Once she realized the letters were color coordinated (and it taking WAY longer than it should have) the words began to appear... "WILL YOU MARRY ME." They both cried, kissed and she said YES!
