Yes, the hotel has a very strict policy when it comes to wedding guests staying onsite. If you choose to stay at a different location, we are not able to guarantee your entry into the wedding.
Yes, the resort only allows guests that are 18+.
Unfortunately, no. Though Riu Palace is right next door to Riu Palace Antillas (our wedding site), they are considered different resorts. Wedding guests must stay at the Riu Palace Antillas to guarantee entry into the wedding.
Yes! All of your meals and drinks are included in the price as well as some water sports. A full list of what's included can be found on the RIU Palace Antillas Website.
Yes! Please utilize the room block for better room rates. Do not book directly on the resort website. If you are having difficulty booking through the room block, please let Jill or Dave know. The room block link can be found under the travel section of this website.
If that should happen, please reach out to Jillian. The travel agent is able to price match.
Palm Beach
The rooms can accommodate up to three people. The resort will check everyone's passports upon checking in to make sure the guests checking in match the names on the reservation. Everyone will be issued a wristband which must be worn the entire duration on the resort. Wearing the wristband while at the resort is strictly enforced.
No, the junior suite is actually the name of their standard room.
For the resort, guests must put down a small deposit ($50 per person for a double/triple occupancy room and $100 for a single occupancy room) to secure their room in the room block. Due to high demand, the hotel will only allow us a certain amount of 3 and 4 night stays (and they are filling up fast) so if you only plan on staying for that amount of time, you should book immediately. If you plan on staying 5+ nights, you shouldn't have any issues. However, since April is a busy time in Aruba, in order to guarantee a room, you should book as soon as you are able. I was told by our travel agent that this hotel generally sells out. All guests should try and book their room by May 15, 2024 - but the sooner the better! At the latest, your room should be booked by October 1. The first payment is due on the room in December. If you purchase travel insurance when booking, you will be refunded the deposit amount if you cancel by the date mentioned in your invoice. For flights, if you want the most options and the best price, the earlier you book, the better.
When you book, you must put $100 down and if you choose to purchase travel insurance that will be an upfront cost as well. If you purchase travel insurance HALF of your booking amount is due in December and the full balance is due in February. I you do NOT purchase travel insurance, the FULL amount is due in December. Please note, there are options to make regular or sporadic payments. These options can be found if you look at the invoice you received in your email after booking. There's a link in the email that says "To view your most up-to-date invoice with payment options, click here."
You should be able to book as early as Saturday, April 19 and as late as Wednesday, April 30. We recommend the dates 4/22/25-4/27/25.
Most guests should arrive in Aruba at least one day before the wedding, on Wednesday 4/23. However, with flights being unreliable lately, we recommend arriving two days before. Keep in mind, we plan on having a welcome event on Wednesday, 4/23 so if you are flying in Wednesday, try to do an early flight. Dave and I will be there from April 19-27.
A valid passport is required to enter the country of Aruba. Please visit the following website to apply for or renew passports: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html Additionally, everyone will be required to fill out an immigration form online 1-7 days prior to your flight - THIS IS MANDATORY FOR ENTRY INTO ARUBA. The form can be found here: https://edcardaruba.aw/ (https://edcardaruba.aw/) Upon departure you should arrive at the Aruban airport 3 hours prior to take off. This is because you will go through US Customs in Aruba, not once you arrive back in the states like many other countries.

Aruba’s host language is Papiamento, a creole language containing elements of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English and French. But good news, local Arubans are taught a minimum of 4 languages in school, and that means everyone speaks English fluently!
You CAN drink the water. Aruba is home to the world's second largest saltwater purification plant, and is completely safe to drink! So fill up from the tap and take a sip! It is suggested you bring a reusable water bottle to bring with you during the volunteer portions of the day.
The country of Aruba has an extremely low crime rate. It is safe to walk around on the streets or go off and explore the island. You can walk out of the hotel at just about any time, day or night, and feel safe.
I have been following some Facebook groups about the resort. Below are some of the topics that came up most frequently. -Bring your own reusable insulated mug/cup. The disposable cups provided at the bars are small but the bartenders will fill your reusable mug if you have one. -Pack a ton of sunblock. -You do not need to bring any special outlet adapters. However, I've seen some people complain about the amount of outlets and some even recommended packing a power strip/extension cord. -You can rent a jeep in the lobby for the day. -Bring clips to hold your towels down - it gets very windy! -If you like to float, bring your own float. There is a place to inflate it. They do have floats you can borrow but they aren't great quality and they run out. -Tips are included in the all inclusive fee. However, if staff goes above and beyond, a tip is appreciated
