Sammi and Jess have been friends since junior year of undergrad. They met at UW Madison while they were pursuing a degree in Communicative Disorders. Sammi had an ulterior motive to convert Jess from a Speech Pathology major to Audiology, and as many of you know she succeeded in her plan. After a very successful Mifflin Block Party gathering that was hosted by the two of them, it was determined that a lifelong friendship was inevitable. Just two Midwestern girls that have grown inseparable, and have proven that no amount of distance or tribulations will keep their friendship from continued growth. Sammi has been a constant support in Jess’ adult life and she has grown to love Dave as much as Jess.
Danny Zeman
Best Man
Danny and Dave have been friends since high school where they met through wrestling. The two quickly became friends and in the off-season their excitement moved from the wrestling mat to Danny’s fathers fishing boat, The Cajun Demon, that the two would “borrow” for frequent fishing trips to Wisconsin. This was before either of them had a paying job and the two often found themselves pulling over on the side of the highway to check under the seats for loose change to pay their tolls. This “fly by the seat of your pants” attitude is still a big part of their lives (much to the chagrin of Jessica) and the pair can often be found on unplanned, last minute adventures.
Bob & Cathy Geraghty
Officiants
Bob and Cathy have been cornerstones of the couple’s relationship since the beginning. Dave and the Geraghtys have had a special bond for quite some time. Their friendship began when they were introduced aboard Adventure, the Geraghty's sailboat. The Geraghty’s are much more than friends; they are family. Whether at the harbor or around a dinner table, the couple always cherishes their time with Bob and Cathy. When thinking about who the couple would want to officiate their wedding Bob and Cathy were the first people to come to mind. Their fun, loving, and exciting marriage serves as an inspiration for Dave and Jessica.
