Our story feels a lot like the butterfly effect—one small moment that quietly set everything else in motion. It all started at freshman year orientation, when Jane said hi to Sara, who played volleyball for Minnesota. They became fast friends and remained so when Sara transferred to play at Kansas, where David happened to be the Volleyball Team manager. David and Sara became friends, not realizing how their close friendship would set up the rest of our lives. After Jane graduated and moved down to Lawrence, Sara decided to play matchmaker between David and Jane. What started as a friendship soon turned into something more, and shortly after beginning our relationship, we both knew we had found the person we wanted to spend our lives with. Three and a half years, our sweet dog Poppy, and a move to Colorado later, David proposed in September 2025. It’s amazing to think that our story really began years earlier with a simple hello at orientation. We're so grateful to have you join us in one of our favorite places to celebrate our special day!
