It’s hapenning!

It all started with a text... “Hey my name is David. My best friend gave me your number. Let me know when you’re free to talk.” That was the first text David ever sent Jamila in November 2017. They were kinda set up by his best friends from college and her twin sister Maya. One day, Jamila was hanging out with Megan (a high school friend) and Maya, venting about a guy that she had just went on a date with that was super corny lol. Megan randomly said “I think I know someone that would be good for you.” She said his name is Davie, and he’s a good friend from college. She thought we should meet. What Jamila didn’t know, is that Megan and Maya had been talking about potential candidates for her before they hung out that day. Another friend, Takeyla is who talked to Dave about Jamila and gave him her number. Her and Maya had been talking too, and after going through lots of questions about their personalities, likes and dislikes they decided this love connection could be a match! Not knowing all this investigative work was going on in the background, Jamila’s only response to this idea was “I’m open to make friends.”Clearly, she wasn’t taking this potential love connection seriously at all lol, plus Dave lived in Chicago and she was in Atlanta. Jamila was NOT interested in a long distance relationship. But after that first text and phone call, they became inseparable. It was like they had been friends and known each other for years. After three months of friendship, they decided to date long distance. A few months later, David relocated from Chicago to Atlanta to further his relationship with Jamila and to be closer to his college friends.
