Jamie and I had met at a staff Christmas party in December of 2018. We spoke a few times after that but nothing serious. Then one day I walked into her daughter's 4th grade classroom just to check. Jamie was there and then the 4th graders were asking me if I was dating anyone. After I said no, Alexis, Jamie's daughter, stood up and yelled, "My mom is single! You could date her!" Both of us were embarrassed but it was that day we started speaking with the intention to date. We'll never forget that day. :)
