Jaclyn recalled meeting David at Hubbard Inn one night though David did not remember this at first. Thus, when the two matched on bumble 6 months later, Jaclyn decided David was not interested and did not message him. Luckily, David used his one 24-hour extend to alert Jaclyn to message him and thanks to his persistence, the beginning of their love story began. First date at a Hawaiian Tiki Bar (with tons of coconut...thankfully Jaclyn brought her epi pen), a trip to Italy, and countless memories later, David popped the question in August of 2019 overlooking the skyline on a “semi-private” boat tour at Lake Michigan . In classic Jaclyn fashion, she had zero idea this was happening. Having made conversation with the 2 strangers on the boat for over an hour, asking them millions of questions about their lives, she later realized that the 2 were not who they said they were. It turned out David had planted a photographer and her friend to video the proposal followed by a party celebrating with close family and friends. Jaclyn and David look forward to more celebrations ahead once they tie the knot on October 16, 2021!
