A photographer snapped this picture after Hala's legendary leap off the Rutgers high-dive board. David was too afraid to make the jump, but he cheered from the stands.

This picture was taken in the days before we started dating. Our friend asked if we wanted a picture together... We did, and nowadays we're grateful she asked.

This is a picture from our first trip together. We managed to sneak in a quick trip to Hala's high-school home town and then to Star Wars Land just before the pandemic.

Snow day with Johann! Back when we lived next to the Rutgers Nature Preserve, snow days were always the perfect time to hike! Now Johann prefers knocking over Hala's snow sculptures and snow fetch.

Our buddy Johann is a fantastic hiking dog. Nowadays he carries his own supplies in a doggie backpack.

Why? Why do you do it? Why do you wear these ridiculous outfits? Because we choose to. Hala is a good sport and she makes a good Trinity in our Matrix Halloween getup.

Do we not embody the noble knight and lady of anachronistic times long past? And Lo! Did we not ride into battle atop yon fiberglass steed?

Uh oh, it's our little Hawaiian kitten Pôpoki (which means cat in Hawaiian). She's a troublemaker, but we love her anyway. We found her on Kauai and when we got home, we adopted her!

This photo was taken on a FREEZING COLD day. It is emblematic of the ongoing relationship theme of Hala's icy hands stealing David's body heat.
