David and Giana’s story began in the Vail Valley in 2017. David had taken some time away from college to spend a season skiing and was working at Beaver Liquors in Avon. One day, as David likes to tell it, “a beautiful girl walked into the store with her mom.” As Giana was leaving, David scrambled for a receipt to write his number on. After carrying their case of wine to the car, David handed her the receipt and said "let me know if you want to ski sometime." And then they lived happily ever after... Well, not exactly. Life had other plans. David returned to school to finish his degree, and Giana moved to New York City to begin her first job. Although their paths crossed briefly, the timing just wasn’t right. Fast forward to 2021. By pure coincidence, they both found themselves back in Vail on the very same weekend. When they reunited, it felt as though no time had passed at all. This time, neither was willing to let the opportunity for something more slip away. A month later, Giana was on a plane to Austin, Texas. What began as a chance encounter in the mountains grew into a love story neither of them could have predicted. Now, they’re thrilled to be returning to the place where it all began to celebrate the next chapter of their story with all of you!
