In early 2021, we were both highly addicted players in a mobile game called Top War. We were each the leader of one of the top two alliances on our server. These two groups hated each other, and we did too! We could have never imagined what would come next. We started working together in the game on a few basic events, because there came a time when we needed to unite against a bigger enemy. This started to build trust between us, and we realized the other wasn't so bad. Eventually we built a good working relationship in the game, until late one night things started getting flirty... Despite being thousands of miles apart and KNOWING that nothing would ever happen, or maybe even because of it, we developed a flirtatious online relationship, but we also talked about deep personal things, our dreams and emotions, and philosophy about the world. Eventually David got enough courage and recklessness to buy a plane ticket to visit Eveling in Peru. This was a huge leap of faith because not only had we never met, we hadn't actually done a live video call yet! Thankfully, Eveling wasn't a catfish, and on September 21, 2021, they finally met in person at the airport in Lima, and have been together ever since.
