If you're staying closer to NYC and do not plan to rent a car, there should be no issue in calling a ride share to the venue (Uber, Lyft, etc.). Getting to and from NYC will be easy via PATH, NJ Transit Bus, or Ferry especially if staying near Jersey City or Weehawken. If near Rockaway or Wayne, there will be busses to and from NYC. Recommend Google Maps for help in navigating these different methods of transit/transportation.
