Semi Formal Garden Party
We will hire transportation for out-of-country guests to and from the wedding. Mexico City has a high altitude, and gets cool in the evenings. Bring a jacket/shawl/wrap, to enjoy the open air into the evening. Ladies, much of the reception will be on a lawn, high heels are not required! We will have a vegetarian meal option. If you have a severe food allergy, please note it when you RSVP. Mexico is much less allergy-conscious than the US, but we will do what we can to allow everyone to enjoy a meal with us.
10:00 am - 1:30 pm
Enjoy a casual brunch at the hotel the morning after the wedding. David and I will join you, and then those who would like to join us will go on a trip to a local attraction in the early afternoon.
1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
David and I want to spend some more time with our guests who traveled to see our special day! Please join us after brunch to a world-wide known attraction: Las Trajineras. Trajineras are colorful barges on the canals of Xochimilco (the district where we live). There are barges with live music, food, and drinks to entertain guests on their trip on the canal. Transportation to and from will be provided, but please be prepared to chip in the cost of the Trajinera (aprox. $10usd each). There is also an artisanal market where we will board the Trajineras, which we will take some time to enjoy. (Most vendors will only accept cash.)
