How We Met

Edith and David first met while taking a Highschool Chemistry class in 2013, but were little more than simply friends and classmates. David was in his senior year and Edith was in her junior year. Fast forward to 2015 when David was in his 2nd year at Cal Poly and Edith was just starting her classes at Cuesta College, David was working at the Sports Authority in San Luis Obispo when Edith and her family came in to buy her younger brother football cleats. David recognized Edith from high school so he assisted her in find shorts, while her brother shopped for cleats. David enjoyed talking to Edith, so a few days later he messaged her on social media. The two began to talk and take an interest in one another for the next few months. David officially asked Edith to be his Girlfriend on March 26, 2016, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Proposal

07.30.23

After a few failed planning attempts, David successfully proposed to Edith on July 30, 2023 at the Sandspit Beach Picnic Tables at Montana De Oro in Los Osos, California. During the early part of their relationship, before moving to the Southern California area, David and Edith would frequent the Picnic area with dinner to watch the sunset over the ocean and enjoy each other's company. David knew that he wanted to propose in a place that was sentimental to them both and somewhat secluded. During a weekend trip to San Luis Obispo, David and Edith bought coffee and their favorite sandwiches so they could enjoy at their usual spot in Montana De Oro. After David ate his entire sandwich and Edith got her first bite in, David started talking about how much this area meant to him, and in his eyes, their relationship. After a few sentimental words, David got up from the picnic table and did a super sweet rotating motion while also dropping down to one knee and opening the ring box. Edith was too stunned to speak for a moment and had to process the situation, and once she did, she gladly said 'Yes!'. They then jumped in the car and drove 4+ hours to get home, all while spreading the good news to family and friends.
