Dustin and I officially started talking in March of 2018 But we had “talked” a lot longer. We matched on a dating website in late 2016, The website was called SCRUFF. For gays called Bears. I wasn’t as ready for the dating scene as initially thought. I had lost someone, it broke my heart. I knew he would want me to move on, so I tried for him. Dustin was so patient with me, even when I disappeared and reappeared. He understood the loss I had, and didn’t run away like a lot of others had. I was told that it was too much “baggage” and nobody wanted to deal with it. Dustin didn’t think so, he said everyone has something. So we met up finally to have our first date in May, on cinco de mayo. Of course we had Mexican, I will never forget our first day. It was... memorable to say the least. Dustin invited a “friend” of his on this date. But despite that, it was a great first date. May 18, we went to Kings Island for a day of fun, where Dustin asked me to officially be his boyfriend on my favorite coaster, (right as it was launching) Flight of Fear. 2 very long years later, he asked me to marry him. Only to shut me up, cause I wouldn’t stop talking about it. We also argued right before so he really wanted me to shut up. We were at home, right after arguing and before we left to run errands. He got down and said marry me. Romantic right?? *eye roll* It’s been the best 2 years, and I’m stoked to enjoy the rest of our lives together.
