In July 2024, we both arrived in Korea at Kunsan Air Base, and as luck would have it, we were in the same unit. We first met during an officer dinner with our leadership. From there, we often saw or spoke with each other in a work setting. Things got even more interesting because we were living in the same dorm building and began spending more time together in a more relaxed setting. We would go out or even take trips with the same group of friends. After a specific trip to Busan, we began dating on October 4, 2024. Our Journey... While we tried to keep a low profile at work, we continued our adventures around Korea and spent more time together. Going to dinner in the closest town, snowboarding, hiking, small/big city weekends, and even Japan. The Japan trip was especially special because this was where we first said those three little words... "I love you". However, as all things come to an end, so did our time in Korea. We had to make a hard choice because one of us would be going to Germany, and the other to New Mexico. We decided to give long-distance a try, and the relationship continued to grow from there. Today... Against all the odds, we are getting married! On May 21, 2026, we will say "I do," and our story will continue from there. We will still have to spend some time apart while David finishes his program in New Mexico, but he will soon be joining Dom and Chui in Germany in September 2026.
